While the weather was less than ideal, Jessicah Keller flew in from a warmer Oklahoma to a wet and chilly Columbus, Ohio, to earn her first All American Quarter Horse Congress Reining Futurity win aboard Malena Chic Olena in the Level 4 Non-Pro. The 49th annual All American Quarter Horse Congress started on Oct. 1 and runs through Oct. 25.

Malena Chic Olena, a 2012 mare by Hickory Chic Olena and out of Malena Chex, by Nu Chex To Cash, was bred and raised by Keller and is owned by Hilldale Farm, of Brashear, Texas. Keller was the primary rider of Malena Chex during her career, in which she earned $15,557 from 2006 to 2009. Malena Chic Olena is the mare’s first money-earning offspring.

At the Congress, Keller and Malena Chic Olena scored a 216 to top 45 entries and earn $8,886. The duo previously won the Tulsa Reining Classic Futurity Level 4 Non-Pro, earning $5,427.
